The Wigwam is Making “Green” Golf a Priority

Most people can agree that golf courses can be breath-takingly beautiful.  But to make and maintain those beautiful greens and fairways, golf courses use pesticides and massive amounts of water and land.  In the past, the golf course industry hasn’t always had the most environmentally friendly reputation.

Barbi Walker, of Green Living AZ magazine, wrote a terrific article called “Rethinking the Game of Golf” that talks about how golfers, groundskeepers, resort owners and golf fans are making a move to “green up” the courses.  The article points out how the Wigwam Golf Resort and our sister property, the Arizona Biltmore Golf Club, are practicing green initiatives that are making a positive impact on the environment.
